Paradise Enough

Winery News

3rd January 2008

* The first piece of news is this website itself! This is our first major overhaul since our original design. In the general spirit of Paradise Enough we do it all ourselves. (“Seamless vertical integration” in the jargon.) The main aim is to keep in touch with people who know us. So let us know if you like/don’t like the design. Any helpful comments gratefully accepted.

* The next bit of news is that instead of providing bits of information about things in South Gippsland on this page we have started a separate blog-style site called southgippsland.info to keep you up to date on what’s on around and about South Gippy. It’s updated each week so it can be used to help plan weekend visits. You can see it at www.southgippsland.info or use the menu item What’s On here in this site. Again, we’re keen for feedback.

As for this page – we’ll keep using it to let you know how things are going in the vineyard and at the winery, including new releases and so on.

* And new releases we have! Our 2006 Pinot Noir is now available. We think it’s the best this century; an elegant, well structured pinot that will only improve over time. For the first time we’re releasing a Cabernet Rose reminiscent of the magnificent roses of Anjou. Lots of lovely fruit and a ravishing colour. Also for the first time we have varietal Shiraz and Merlot wines made from a family vineyard in Leongatha North. Both of these are lovely wines. The 2007 Chardonnay will also be ready soon. All of these are only available at cellar door and by mail order for the time being but you can easily order through this site at Contact Us.

* The vineyard is faring well so far this season despite considerable pressure from mildews after spring and early summer rains. We will be tidying up and netting the pinot and chardonnay over the next three weeks and then it’s only a short time before we’re picking fruit for bubbly in February. (If you want to come and help, let us know…)
